Another durable that may last longer if shared: a car.

We've had to replace our muffler very often-twice in three years-mainly
because we don't drive the car enough. It rusts through in our humid climate
because it's not dried out regularly enough by driving the vehicle.

We're not cohousers and don't officially share our car, so we'd like to know:
who has experience with car sharing, and how's it going?
