The CoHousing Network is putting on a Northern California Regional CoHousing Conference on November 12, at the Clark Kerr Campus of UC Berkeley. The theme is "Designing for Sustainability & Community". For people already involved in cohousing, this will be a chance to share information about challenging issues in the development and management of cohousing communities. It will also be an excellent chance for newcomers to learn about projects underway in places ranging from Chico to Santa Cruz. Breakout session topics include : Designing for Sustainability Designing for Community Sustainability in Everyday Life Recruitment & Marketing Finding a Site Development Structures & Financing Panelists are expected to include Chuck Durrett, Katie McCamant, David Early, president of Urban Ecology, Ellen Hertzman, John Hellwig of the CoHousing Fund (financing), and members of various CoHousing communities for groups (including yours truly).
