Sorry for the delay in responding to several queries re: EcoVillage's planned (planning) heating systems, but I've been out of town & just came back to 55 messages. CoHo folks sure can write! We'll prpbably be using medium/low heat systems, with common boilers for each group of 8 houses. Primary source of heat has not yet been determined, but will probably be either gas fired or ground-loop heat pump. One primary goal is to make it flexible, so when we can get together the cash (or grants) to put in solar, it can be easily tied in. Same with wind towers, or fast weasels on wheels.
