I'm using a less toxic ant bait that you might want to try. It's toxic ingredient is Borax (5.4%). The package says the other ingredients are inert. It's called Terro Ant Killer II and I picked mine up at the Hopland Real Goods Store. It comes in a small bottle as a syrupy liquid. You pour a dime sized puddle on a small piece of cardboard and place near the ants. They eat the bait and take it back to their nest. It works slower than the more toxic ant baits but with patience you can eliminate the ant colonies. By the way my cohousing group (for now call us Acacia Lane Cohousing) was hosted by Muir Commons a couple of weeks ago. We were the folks walking around in the rain two Saturdays ago. ..Don Don Maddox donm [at] crl.com Santa Rosa, Ca
