Katy and Chuck are putting on two of their "Getting It Built" weekend
workshops in New York in September. On September 16 and 17 the workshop will
be held in Rochester, NY (call 716-235-1810 for information), and  on
September 22 and 23 in Rhinebeck, NY (call 800-944-1001.) Topics covered
include: the cohousing development process, technical issues (including
financing options, ownership structures and community design), working
togheter (decision making, group interaction dynamics), and the planning the
next steps for groups and individual households. 

Katy asked me to put this announcement on the list, which I am pleased to do.
She did not ask me to endorse the workshop, but I want to do so most
wholeheartedly. Those of you in the east (at least one person from each core
group or incipient core group, or future core group) should do your best to
attend. Even if you decide to build your community with little or no
professional help in the future--NOT a course I would recommend--this is the
one piece of professional support that you should not skip over.
