If you are using Microsoft Windows and would like to set up a
"program group" that will hold the various icons for the DOS versions
of the CompuServe Information Manager and CompuServe Signup programs,
follow these instructions:
1. Make sure that the CompuServe software has already been installed onto
the hard disk.
NOTE: The install procedure uses the directory "C:\CSERVE\DOSCIM" as
the default directory. The Windows files that we have provided
use the same default directory name. If you chose not to use
this directory during the installation process, you will need
to modify the various Windows files that we have provided.
See "MODIFYING WINDOWS FILES" below for details.
2. Get into Windows (usually by entering WIN at the DOS prompt).
3. Select "New" from the "File" pull-down menu.
4. Select the radio button for "Program Group".
5. Place the cursor in the "Group File" field (use the TAB key to move
to this field or click on the field with the mouse).
6. Enter "C:\CSERVE\DOSCIM\DOSCIM.GRP" (without the quotes) into the
"Group File" field.
7. Hit the Enter key or click on the OK button in the dialog window with
the mouse.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
A "CompuServe" group should now appear in the Program Manager window.
Unless you changed the default directory during the installation process,
you are finished creating the CompuServe group.
If you modified the default directory, read on.

MODIFYING WINDOWS FILES
If you modified the default directory, you will need to follow these
instructions:

4. Place the cursor in the "Group File" field (use the TAB key to move
to this field or click on the field with the mouse).
5. Enter "C:\YOUR_DIRECTORY\DOSCIM.GRP" (without the quotes) into the
"Group File" field. Replace "YOUR_DIRECTORY" with the directory
you used during the installation procedure.
NOTE: If you used a different drive than "C:", you will need to change
that also.
6. Hit the Enter key or click on the OK button in the dialog window with
the mouse.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
A "CompuServe" group should now appear in the Program Manager window.
