I am new to the list and this is my first posting. With many topics
"netiquette" requires some due diligence on the part of new participants in
becoming familiar with what has gone on prior to jumping in. It would be an
advantage to have a
FAQ or index for already asked/answered. This would allow newbies a chance
to join a discussion without being a liability.

A young participant suggested a conversation with their views but adults
were invited. A chat line would be interesting. It would require a time and
date
ie: March 31/97 at 7:00 pm EST, 10:00 pm PST and a channel: #CoHousing. I
will try it as an experiment and if it works then we can post here for
future times. It will be successful if 10 or more people join in the
discussion. Those knowledgable in CoHousing are invited to become Ops and
will have questions directed to them. My name on the chat line is Rob_VI.

We are in the initial stages on Vancouver Island and are approaching
CoHousing with a somewhat different motivation. Our Common House will also
be a Unitarian Church Hall. Have there been other initiatives that combine
CoHousing with something else?
I will have many questions in the next few months, are they welcome? How
have initial costs and re-sale values compared?
