I never knew what that "Blah, Blah, Blah" button was for--now I know! Which proves that I am not a very technically sophisticated person, which, in turn, brings me to my next point. Any dum-dum can write mail filters--even me! The trick is contacting your ISP and finding out how to create the directories that you have to put them in. I am Macintosh-based; to create the mail filters I had to learn to deal with a Unix-based system. But hey--if I can do it, you can too! All you have to learn how to do is write simple little phrases like: if (subject = "$") then delete if (subject = "money") then delete if (from = "interramp.com") then delete Eventually your filter-rules will get pretty big, but, hey--they really work and it's better than putting up with all that disgusting junk out there. If your Internet Service Provider will not help you set up filter rules then you should look for another ISP. Most good quality ISP's will either talk you or e-mail you through the process. It's not that hard. So, go to it! ----Diane:.) P.S. I always send a private e-mail message to anyone whose mail comes from a know spam ISP and advise them to get another provider. I point out that I am filtering out mail from that provider and that probably others are as well. @@ @@ @@@@ Diane Simpson http://world.std.com/~dqs @@@@ | | J P C O H O U S I N G | | | "| 263 Chestnut Ave. #1 |" | | V| Boston, MA 02130-4436 617-522-2209 |V | ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
