This is indeed a very sad day for cohousers and would-be cohousers everwhere. I never met Mike, but I felt like I knew him personally because he always took the time to respond to each of my messages to the Urban IC list and to ask me a lot of questions about how I was doing. He seemed to have dozens of ideas bubbling around in his head, about cohousing, about community, about how the cohousing web site should be organized....he certainly seemed like he had a lot to live for and that he was looking forward to expanding the reach of the cohousing network. I think we ought to dedicate the upcoming east coast conference to Mike and see if we can get at least one session in there on urban cohousing. --Diane - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - >I decided to repost the message below with the clearer subject line. >Also included below is a text copy of an article from the >Below are some of the details about Mike's death as posted >yesterday by his mother with http://www.durangoherald.com/news9281.htm >which did not get distributed on cohousing-L due to a problem. @@ DQS [at] WORLD.STD.COM @@ @@@@ Diane Simpson http://world.std.com/~dqs @@@@ | | J P C O H O U S I N G N E T W O R K | | | "| 263 Chestnut Ave. #1 |" | | V| Boston, MA 02130-4436 617-522-2209 |V | ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
