You don't need a full-time construction manager, but you do need a good part-time one. Someone needs to be on site every day, prodding and verifying. In our case it might have saved us about about 4-5 months on our 9 months of project delays. (And we got the construction company with the best rep in the area!). So... 4 months x $600 (ave. rent-per-month) = $2400 (actual cost per household). We would have "made" money and saved the credibility of the "construction liaisons" team.
