Unable to find any lists still in existance about urban collectives or co-ops, I turn to you folks for some suggestions/resources. Why? I am the founder of a 6-person collective household that rents in San Francisco, CA, USA. We have been getting advice from the Tenant's Union, but our new landlord just wants us out, and is pulling out all the legal stops to evict us. We'd like to perhaps (ha! the optimism!) purchase a house, so this wouldn't happen again. Basically, we need to know where to search for the information about Tenants' In Common or other such options. We've heard there's some help through the No. Cal. Land Trust that helps collectives buy homes under the auspices of affordable housing, but no one seems to know contact info or the right name to look up. If you'd be willing to point me towards an office, a co-op-er who's been through the process, the right name in the phone book, or even a (to be respectfully used!) phone number, I would be eternally greatful. Thank you so much for your help. In Earnest, -Ali Woolwich of Casa Roja __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Messenger - Talk while you surf!
