In the Netherlands, urban traffic is slowed down by "woon erfs", which
translates broadly into residential farmyards.
At its most innovative, sheep roam around, bound by fencing as used by
farmers to embellish the community and slow down traffic. Given that this is
in an urban or suburban context, this could count as a precedent for
cohousing trials.
