Cohousing-L has been down AGAIN since Feb 18,2001 . This time I am moving cohousing-L to a new listserver. I am not ready to bring the new list up quite yet; I hope to have it up in a few days (By Mar 7 ?). The new listserver will have a number of improvements including: o Tag on subject line indicating cohousing-L list message probably: [C-L] o Capability of "footer" - info automatically added to end of each message for example, indicating how to unsubscribe... o Good www interface for subscribers to change options (digest, nomail etc) o Confirm process and passwords for commands to improve security and reduce forged subscriptions. o Web browsable archives will continue to be at CSF. See http://csf.colorado.edu/cohousing o It may be possible to make the list consistently appear to be at cohousing-L [at] cohousing.org (THE PREFERRED ADDRESS) . On the old list "mtn.org" and "freedom.mtn.org" appeared various places to confuse matters... I may even get listproc [at] cohousing.org to process subscribe commands for the new list (some other commands have different formats) Note that the very least the old list related addresses at cohousing.org will continue to get a reasonable response but the ones at mtn.org will eventually stop working permanently - they already not working temporarily :) o For those with a techy bent. The new list will be hosted on an installation of the Mailman listserv. Mailman is 'open source' software (Linux is the most well know open source software.) Thanks for your patience. Fred H.
