Hi all - Nice to be back in the cohousing-L world. In my job at HUD, I've worked with Habitat for Humanity groups all over the U.S. and they can vary substantially in how "in your face" they are about their Christian underpinnings. In the past few years, as they've expanded rapidly and developed policies for accepting government assistance for parts of their work, I've seen most U.S. Habitat groups become, if not more secular, then more welcoming to other beliefs and world views. I don't know how the international groups behave. - Jessie Handforth Kome Eno Commons Cohousing Durham, NC "Where we're finishing (beginning to finish?) our pedway, marking parking, adding drainage. It must be spring, so many proposals are on the table. Oh, and two beautiful babies born here this winter are passed around the tables by grownups and older children at every commons house event." _______________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list Cohousing-L [at] cohousing.org Unsubscribe info: http://www.communityforum.net/mailman/listinfo/cohousing-l
