Cambridge Cohousing also used buttons with "Ask Me About Cohousing" when we were looking for members. Our brochures/handouts were headed "A New Old-fashioned Neighborhood," which avoided the community-commune trigger. Obviously, these were "selling" pieces. It all depends on your purpose for the T-shirts. But "caring family" is a warm good concept. A family of caring neighbors? In our ads, I've used "RoseWind Cohousing, Where Neighbors are Friends". Where neighbors are caring friends? And the simple "Ask me about Cohousing" is effective. I put RoseWind Cohousing in my address on my checks, and many store clerks or others who handle my checks ask me about it.
