Hi, Seattle Cohousing, soon to become Jackson Place Cohousing, is in the process of occupying our completed project. We had a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the beginning of October. Some families are already moved in and, hopefully all will be moved in during December. But, due to some unfortunate circumstances, some of our members had to withdraw. So, we still have two units to sell. Here is our invitation to those who would like to live in a cohousing community in the exciting urban environment of Seattle, Washington: Join our community in Seattle Cohousing, to be complete by the middle or end of December, in the heart of Seattle! Seattle Cohousing is looking for a few more families to join our planned community. Only two units left! Prices start at approximately $221,000. We are in the process of moving in right now! as of October, 2001! See our web site for pictures of our ribbon-cutting ceremony and more information: www.seattlecohousing.org "Cohousing" starts with a group of families creating a housing development to share resources and build community. Families own their own homes (as a condo) and share ownership in common facilities such as a large kitchen and dining/meeting space, children's play area, laundry, workshop, and maybe guest rooms. Communities usually assign cooks and eat dinners together 3-4 times per week. Our 27 homes, mostly townhouses, are situated along a pedestrian street to provide safe play areas for children and many opportunities for community interaction. Seattle Cohousing is finishing construction on a 1.25 acre site in the Jackson Place neighborhood of Seattle. This hillside site is near the International District and a few blocks west of Judkins Playfield and Park. The award-winning architect is Mike Pyatok, professor at UW School of Architecture. Come meet us and take a tour of the nearly completed project! Call Kathy: (206) 522-3099 SeattleCohousing, soon to be Jackson Place Cohousing 800 Hiawatha Place S. one block East of Rainier, at Dearborn in the heart of urban Seattle, Washington www.seattlecohousing.org Where we are moving in! finishing our landscape plantings! and looking forward to the future together! www.seattlecohousing.org --------------------- Note, for those who have read my postings concerning Jackson Place Cohousing: Seattle Cohousing is one and the same as Jackson Place Cohousing. Seattle Cohousing is now the official name. Jackson Place Cohousing will very soon become the official name. That will happen when we begin our move-in. _______________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list Cohousing-L [at] cohousing.org Unsubscribe and other info: http://www.communityforum.net/mailman/listinfo/cohousing-l
