Energy Star is a standard rating for refrigerators and many companies have this rating on several models. Certainly one should buy an Energy Star rated fridge. We are also Energy Star rated. I understood the original poster to be asking about the super efficient fridges that are not sold by regular appliance stores. I had investigated those only to find that the thousands one pays is not worth the cost AND that the claims for them were exaggerated when compared to the Energy Star ratings.
