Hi all - Jessie Handforth Kome from Eno Commons in Durham here. If you hate AOL on principle, please either ignore this message or start another thread if you need to trash it. I have my reasons for using the service and don't plan to change - I just want a little help with getting HTML out of my messages. A while ago Fred asked me to look at some directions for AOL users who want to avoid sending HTML in their posts to this list. The directions showed 2 ways - one I have been able to get to work and one I can't figure. The way that is working for me is to send the mail using the web-based AOLMail feature. To use it, you go out to the web and log in on the AOL.com page. The mail sent from here is HTML free. The other way, according to Member Services, is to get into preferences in your AOL set-up and set all the message fonts and stuff to the plainest possible settings. The messages I posted after following these instructions still included HTML. Does anyone out there who is using AOL have this figured out? Thanks for your help - Jessie Eno Commons Durham, NC _______________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list Cohousing-L [at] cohousing.org Unsubscribe and other info: http://www.communityforum.net/mailman/listinfo/cohousing-l
