Fred, I am confused. Is this person trying to sell a home? Is it in a cohousing community? I finally figured out it is located in Concord, California. This must have been written by a lawyer or someone with very poor writing skills. Please clarify. Happy Halloween, Cohousers! Anna Amato Takoma Village Washington, DC (where I should be used to poorly written material by lawyers, bureaucreats, and policy wonks, but alas, have yet to get used to this.) It was posted by Fred the Cohousing-L list manager <fholson [at] cohousing.org> because the message included HTML ; PLEASE do not post HTML, see http://csf.colorado.edu/cohousing/2001/msg01672.html -------------------- FORWARDED MESSAGE FOLLOWS -------------------- The proponent for Concord Oasis Ecohousing (a proposed green retrofit cohousing project) has moved out of the area and seeks to find green community minded persons to assist in the divestment process for this flexible floor plan, multiple household capabl e "single family home". This hybrid environmental home demonstrates many green technologies, including earthen floors and plaster, straw bale construction, light clay, solar, non-toxic finishes, recycled lumber, etc. Discouraged with marketing this unique structure through traditional avenues, the owner seeks progressive stakeholders for this new home. The owner will consider remaining financially involved as a member of the acquisition team (coop, TIC, LLC, or other form of ownership TBD) or make other c oncessions with persons or a group interested in making the highest and best use of this structure from a green community and green building perspective. The owner has interests in cohousing, community, new urbanism, ecoresorts, mountian living and sports , green building, and cooperative models, including "multi-place based community", and is in the process of setting up an entity capable of acquiring and developing properties for this purpose. Owner commits to donate a minimum of 0.5 % of the gross sales proceeds to an appropriate green building or green community non-profit upon clear referral as a charitable organization referral. (Please be clear about the source at initial inquiry to ensure proper credit). "Asking price" $499,950 (appraised at $549,0 00, recently reduced twice from initial $569,000k asking price).
