My response isn't really about the general topic of shared childcare, but I 
wanted to mention that at Pioneer Valley one summer--maybe the still 
do--they hired (maybe paid for by the parents) one or a couple of people 
who essentially created a day-camp within the community for the community's 
school-age kids.
