unless the sticks and stones issues are mastered, the people relationships
will be destroyed. But on the other hand, unless you have the people
relationships, you won't keep struggling with the sticks and stones.

I think it is a defining characteristic of cohousing that the sticks and
stones issues are integral parts of the social issues. There are days when
only the sticks and stones are keeping you happy and others when only the
social relationships are keeping you happy. Usually we are really discussing
both of them although the words we use may favor one or the other.
