My phone number is 202-722-1727. I'll be in the commonhouse tomorrow morning dismanteling the tree but am usually home. There are two single women looking at the apartment already so perhaps the best thing would be to put you in touch with the people who are moving out -- cohogals [at] aol.com I also asked the only other person I know here who sometimes rents but she is planning to adopt a baby soon. Have you talked to Steve Pretl? He is the person who keeps lists of who is interested in what. stevep [at] takomavillage.org I would let him know as soon as possible as well. Thanks, Sharon. Bonnie, the two bedroom that is available for rent at the moment is only available for 6 months. The owner returns then and would not be likely to want to share with two people. But as Ann said, we are in Washington, DC, not Washington state. Sorry for the confusion, Sharon. BTW - it's Takoma w/ a "k" to distiguish it from the west coast city. We're infinitely more desirable. .. :-) Best -- AZ On 12/29/03 12:14 AM, "Morad, Bonnie" <Bonnie.Morad [at] asrcenergy.com> wrote: Yes I have been interested in co-housing for quite some time now. I even considered getting one started here in Anchorage but...with athree year old and a demanding job it kind of fell by the way side. I would love to live in Tacoma Village but I have not received an answer from there with my e-mail inquiries at least. Must be the holidays haseverybody busy. A two bedroom in Tacoma Village would probably suit my daughter and I just perfect! So pass on my information to who ever you think may be able to help me out. Thank you for the quick response Ann I really appreciate it. Have a safe and happy new year, bnm P.S. Anchorage is one of the most beautiful places I have ever livedbut I am due for a change and I am looking forward to DC and all a bigcity has to offer. Hello Bonnie! Anchorage. My favorite spot on earth. I tried to move there in the early '90's. Eastern Village is eight months away from completion. It's still a construction site. I do not anticipate any rentals available there for quite some time. There may be a 2 BR rental available here in Takoma Village. I've cc'd Sharon Villines as I believe she is handling this rental for the owner. Check out our website: www.takomavillage.org Are you familiar w/ cohousing? It does entail participation by residents in the work of the community as cohousing is managed and maintained by the residents. Just want to give you a "heads up" on that! Do let me know if you have other questions or need further information. Best - Ann Z. If so can you send me some information on getting in contact with those responsible for running that program?
