Zeke,
Having had a concrete floor in my kitchen before co-housing, I personally
would not recommend the polyurethane approach without something in it to
prevent slipping. There were many times that I slipped on wet spots and went
down instantly.

on any path that may have heart. There I travel, and
the only worthwhile challenge is to traverse its full length.
And there I travel, looking, looking, breathlessly.

Thanks to all who responded to my inquiry about kitchen flooring. We are
definitely considering staining/sealing the concrete floor, and adding soft
mats (and I like the soft shoe idea). The company that sells the stain
offers a sealer that they recommend by sprayed professionally. We're
wondering why not just roll on a few coats of regular polyurethane. Any
experiences with sealing concrete...?
Thanks,
