National Cohousing Conference, July 21-23, 2006, Chapel Hill, North Carolina I am heading up the program team for the cohousing conference next summer. The theme will be "Living in Cohousing - A Model for a Sustainable Planet." We expect to have four tracks for the workshop sessions, focusing on those who live in cohousing, groups in formation and professionals and one for topics of more general interest. There will probably be four one and a half hour time slots on Saturday, and two on Sunday. Most sessions will fill one time slot, although some could be twice that long in back-to-back time slots. 1. What topics would you like to see addressed at the conference? Please be as specific as you can. If you can address your suggested topic yourself, that's wonderful, but if not, we should have no trouble finding a cohouser or cohousing professional who can put together a talk, panel or discussion on that topic. 2. If you would like to lead a workshop/session at the conference please submit a proposal which includes the following: · Title or Subject · Brief description of what you will cover (no more than 125 words, please) · Your name and contact information, and what qualifies you to present this session · Proposed format with attention to interactivity with participants · If you know, which track would your presentation fit into best? · If you plan to co-lead this session or present it as a panel, please name your co-leader(s) or co-panelists, or ask us to help you find others to present with you. Thank you. Please send your ideas and proposals for the program to me at conference [at] cohousing.org no later than January 31.
