An added note to my comments yesterday. One thing I love about
cohousing is that I can socialize for shorter periods of time inside
the community than I can outside the community.
I can attend a party for 15-30 minutes or pop in and out several times during the evening as I often do on New Year's Eve. Or stop in to see someone and never sit down.
This is easy because of proximity. It would be odd to go across town to visit for 15 minutes or leave a party after 30. Here it perfectly okay.
