Mariposa Grove is a lovely retrofit cohousing neighborhood in the Northern part of Oakland, California. It's walking distance to Berkeley and the subway to SF, as well as the Temescal neighborhood where there are two built and a community with a site optioned in the planning process (Kingfish, aka North Oakland Cohousing), as well as Doyle Street Cohousing (in Emeryville) and Triple Point Cohousing (Oakland/Emeryville/Berkeley border) and a new potential site in the neighborhood sometimes called "OakVale". And a 10-minute bus ride to either Swan's Market Cohousing in downtown Oakland or Berkeley Cohousing. And a walk around the corner to Bodhi House, a lovely group house that is conducting NVC trainings and organizing communities in the area. I do believe we have the world's densest population of cohousing communities per square mile centered around here, rivaling even Denmark!
