We meet as a whole group once a month for three hours, ten months of the year. Teams manage most aspects of the work here, have their own budgets and make decisions about their realm. For example if something needs fixing, you would bring it to the attention of the maintenance team, not the general meeting. Some teams meet once a month, others quarterly or seasonally. We also have an executive board that handles financial and legal issues and also is sort of an oversite on the teams and community processes. The first 45 minutes or so of a typical meeting is a check-in activity, and we typically have 2-3 agenda items to discuss and decide upon. Then we do a polling process called other business, then break into open space, then have a closing. Of course there are variations in this routine from time to time.
