There is a house for rent at Pioneer Valley Cohousing, in Amherst, MA. This is a pretty rare event! We are a community of 32 households, near hiking and cross-country ski trails, a swimming pond, five colleges and on a bus line. We are surrounded by woods and fields, and have 22 acres of our own, on which we have 3 pigs, 2 little sheep, laying hens and meat birds, as well as a large community garden. Within walking distance are a post office, a small market, a farmer's market, two CSA's a couple of restaurants, a little library and a very good car mechanic. Three miles away in downtown Amherst are a very good movie theater, many restaurants of all kinds, two good bookstores and a fine library. Pioneer Valley has been in existence for 16 years, and has become a mellow, mature community that works well. This house belongs to a woman who had a stroke and had to move to assisted living. We miss her, but we will welcome you! One-year house rental available in Pioneer Valley Cohousing starting September 1st Beautiful large one-bedroom, 2-story house with open floor plan: Screen porch Large deck Mudroom Bathroom on each floor Large south-facing windows - lots of light Ideal for single person No pets $1500/mo; possible reduction in exchange for yard work email Amy at: elln210 [at] gmail.com
