Unless you are in a septic environment, like a hospital, washing towels on hot 
should do just fine in the disinfecting department.  You could add a half cup 
of vinegar to the wash for a little extra disinfecting umph.  Clorox would love 
to convince everyone that bleach is a necessary household item for all 
cleaning, but that's just advertising.
