I will be offering a two-day workshop on sociocracy/dynamic governance on
Oct 27-28 in Amherst MA at the Pioneer Valley Cohousing Community Common
House. This is a great opportunity not only to learn about sociocracy but
more generally to develop your facilitation, decision-making and
organizational development skills. What is Sociocracy? Simply put,
sociocracy is an effective, efficient, transparent and participatory
decision making process and organizational structure based on equivalence
of power of all participants regardless of their position in an
organization. The flyer explaining more is attached.

There is plenty of room for more registrants. I want more people coming
because it is more fun and more leaning with more people, and I want to
reach more people, have more impact. Don't let cost get in your way. Come
and contribute whatever you choose to - including below the stated sliding
scale.

Newly forming cohousing communities like Green Haven in Connecticut and
Belfast in Maine and Cohabitat Quebec in Canada have chosen to organize and
make decisions by the sociocratic method. And sociocracy is not just for
cohousing but also great for other organizations - it is used part in
organizations like Coop Power, Peck Middle School and Energia energy
services in Holyoke, High Mowing Waldorf School in New Hampshire, Living
Well residential care and Sojourns Community Health Clinic in Vermont,
Nonviolent Communication organizations around the world, and many more.
