Cohousing bus tours have been quite successful in larger metropolitan areas.
Visitors can see several communities in one day and ask lots of questions
about cohousing.

As marketing folks at cohousing communities in smaller cities (CoHo
Ecovillage in Corvallis and Oakleigh Meadow Cohousing in Eugene), we knew
we couldn't piggyback on Portland bus tours, but decided to synchronize
tours so folks could visit one city in the morning and another (45 minutes
away) in the afternoon.

Half of CoHo's initial residents moved from outside the city to join CoHo;
Oakleigh Meadow is still in the development stage. Our hope is that
offering this two-for-one event on the same day could lure some of you
out-of-towners who would find the Willamette Valley very appealing. Of
course, our local neighbors are also encouraged to attend.

Here's the tour info....

*Visit Cohousing Communities in Oregon's Willamette Valley - Sunday, May 5th
*

Take a "day in May" to explore cohousing options at both CoHo Ecovillage in
Corvallis and Oakleigh Meadow Cohousing in Eugene.

Acting on Oakleigh's slogan "*It's Better Together*," our two communities
are teaming up to welcome visitors with an interest in cohousing in Oregon.

*Corvallis*. The two-for-one tour starts at 10:30am at CoHo Ecovillage in
Corvallis. It's work party day, so visitors will see CoHoots in action
around our 6.8-acre site. Learn first-hand what it's like living in a
caring, sharing community five+ years after move-in. With luck, the sun
will be out and you can bask in the beautiful rainbows *inside* the common
house that are lured in by Peter Erskine's unique solar art
installation. Lunch
will be served at 12:30pm.

*Eugene*. Next stop is the site for Eugene's first cohousing community. At
3:00pm, visitors will tour the property, review site/building designs, and
learn the benefits of joining the group now and contributing to the vision.
Groundbreaking is targeted for spring 2014. Members will host visitors for
an informal dinner. Wrap-up will be around 7:00pm.

*Logistics.* There is no cost for the tours/meals. For more logistics
details, visit our websites (cohoecovillage.org or oakleighmeadow.org). If
you're coming from outside the area for a longer visit, contact us for
additional trip planning options.

*RSVP. *To help with meal planning, please sign up for the tour by
contacting CoHo Ecovillage at 541-908-3325 or cohocontact [at]
