The house has one very large bedroom, passive solar heat, solar
electricity, solar hot water, lots of storage, back deck and a large sunny
space for a garden. There are 10 other houses in the Co-op and they all
open onto a shared green space with paths that connect the houses.
Governance of the Co-op is through meetings and consensus.

The monthly assessment is $688. Water, sewer and phone costs are
additional. The owner will make approximately $150 a year for producing
electricity.

The cost to buy into the Co-op is currently $13K.

The Co-op is a Land Trust community--the land is owned by the Lopez
Community Land Trust (http://www.lopezclt.org) and is leased for a small
sum to the Co-op. This keeps the housing costs affordable.

Interested parties must first meet financial requirements of min and max
income, complete a financial application and then interview with the Co-op.

Please see photos in attached flyer and contact Heather Mitchell at

Thank you!
