It is such a wonderful resource and the only one that connects all the communities, it seem that it would be helpful not only to individual communities but form a reservoir of information for all. I've just been reading Social Physics on the importance of diversity in information in making not only good decisions but innovative decisions. Ones that move forward into new achievements. Like entrepreneurs who don't echo the same opinions of others but draw on a wide variety of resources. Not only do Ann Z and I participate voluminously, other members post questions and raise information from the list in our decisions. (The reason I don't recommend the book is that it makes too many false assumptions from a massive amount of data. For example, that the ability to predict behavior in 48% of cases is significant. Say what? That's less than 50-50. And that people who do as others do are imitators. Duuuh. Maybe they are making the same valid judgments based on the same data. But there are here and there interesting revelations based on data as well as on how data are analyzed.)
