I too have a Millennial living in our three-generation household, and agree
that this is a very positive contribution to provide an extra driver, extra
muscle, extra cook, and extra pet care within our extended family. Indeed for
white-hair seniors like myself planning to age-in-place, they are a wonderful
addition.

There is also another movement afoot that marries the synergy between the
younger/older generations.
That model is one that has seniors living in community and providing support
with foster families. And in exchange getting that muscle power and physical
support now and again from the youthful counterparts. There is a lot of
mentorship and sharing that can be meaningful/impactful. For many seniors with
a strong value for social justice, this is a great model to consider.

There is a built community in Portland (http://www.bridgemeadowsapts.com/ )
and one in Illinois (Hope Meadows -

 .
Need more hybrid models like this.
