Hi Joel,

I live on a multi-home farm, and we have two 501(c)3 non-profits. One is to
support costs for growing and raising produce and livestock to support local
hunger missions and food banks, and one is a gleaning organization.

In addition to grants, I have found that local and regional groups, businesses
and media are incredible resources.

Remind me by private email, and I’ll be happy to send you weblinks, copies of
our mission statements, boilerplates, and application templates.

Warm regards,
Mary Baker

Subject: [C-L]_ Non-profit entities

Hey Cohos,

Hundredfold Farm Cohousing in Orrtanna PA is considering formation of a
501(c)3 non-profit arm for the purpose of sponsoring events and receiving
grants from foundations. Have any other communities done this? Problems?
Successes? How did you use the non-profit? What were some of your mission
goals?

Respond on or off line...
