Cohousing is blessed with many ways to communicate. Actually Sharon Villines shared on Cohousing-L her post to her community about "A new Cohousing US Executive Director" a couple weeks ago. http://lists.cohousing.org/pipermail/cohousing-l/msg47718.html That post includes Trish Becker's bio (from CohoUS newsletter) and a link to Trish's TEDx talk on cohousing from 2019 https://www.ted.com/talks/trish_becker_hafnor_cohousing_the_future_of_community_and_human_connection which Sharon and I commend. The quote from the TEDx talk that I consider the essence of what I need to know about Trish: I want an evening where my phone sits untouched in the corner while I gather with my neighbors and together we show my daughter how to make her first protest sign. Great to hear Alice's talents will be used for this necessary but to some of us unattractive task. One last thing, Karen wrote: > I'll be turning my focus fully to leading the upcoming national > conference in Madison. Madison is relatively close to us here in Minneapolis (about 270 miles) so I hope I can attend. I have seen nothing about plans relative to Covid. The pandemic is not over. Will masks and proof of vaccinations be required if conditions are similar then which they may well be? Are there contingency plans? Can registration and accomodations be made contingent on Covid? I hope the conference can be relatively normal but I fear that may not be the case. Fred -- Fred H.
