My use of "vs" - an abbreviation for versus - was in the second sense of
the term "in contrast to or as the alternative of" according to
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/versus

I agree they are alternatives - some perople prefer or the other.
I just felt your original message did not list multigenerational
cohousing as enough of an alternative for us older folks.
