I'd advise that anyone responsible for trying to re-home things join their
local buy nothing group (via Facebook). You usually can give away almost
anything and people come get it from you which is a lot easier and faster
than gathering and driving things to various charities. Chances are this
will decrease the amount of time anything sits around, but if course
someone has to post items and be responsible for being the point person.
