I would love us here to contribute. -=-= PROJECT DESCRIPTION How can intentional communities make real progress in addressing racism and moving towards racial equity? For this project, I am seeking to interview members of intentional communities that are working on issues of racial equity and inclusion. Through the interviews, I hope to: examine connections between community, sustainability, and racial justice; explore the successes and failures of intentional communities around racial justice work; and harvest practical insights for addressing racism and building sustainable communities based in equity and justice. TIMELINE FOR INTERVIEWS: Late May through end of June 2022 INTERVIEW FORMAT: Zoom TIME COMMITMENT: approximately 90 minutes BIO: Joe Cole is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Joe has a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Duke University, and is a Facilitator, Trainer, and Consultant for communities and non-profit organizations.
