I don't know how useful this kind of research can be in the abstract since
it depends on the community's budget, ie what do your dues need to pay for.
We might be on the lower end as the Common House is our only commonly owned
major structure -- our homes are privately owned. Presumably if the HOA (or
equivalent) owns all the housing structures, there would be considerably
higher shared costs, which for us are private costs -- roofs, HVAC,
plumbing and all the other things that need to be repaired or replaced as
time goes on. Where will your community fall in that range of what the HOA
will have to maintain?
