At Bellingham Cohousing, 33 units, we have a finance committee of 4. The
treasurer does QB and accounting, another pays bills and reimbursement,
another does deposits and the other takes minutes, prepares annual report
to state, and arranges for the internal audit.

The one who pays bills also checks the mail.

Our common house committee takes care of the printers, computer, and
supplies.

We keep the same 2 signers from year to year: the one who pays bills and
the treasurer. The treasurer is appointed every year by the board and is an
ex offio member of the board, rather than an elected member. This allows
continuity of the treasurer position.
