I only shared a thin anecdote and did not invest time in research.

Perhaps members of the communities designated on the tour itinerary should 
contact the organizer to determine who they are communicating with regarding a 
visit or stay at a listed community?  Or make a general inquiry to their 
members to determine if the tour is being hosted privately?

I recall that a member of my community was the primary contact and the group 
visit was hosted by this person in what seemed to be a privately managed 
event--not one sponsored by the community.  And...in thinking about it, I do 
not absolutely know if this tour guide was the same person I had brief exposure 
to years ago.

The itinerary provides the names of people living in identified communities we 
all know as reputable who are serving as tour hosts, so it may be that a 
private plan to host the tour is not yet widely disseminated in the communities 
listed.

Just making an assumption...I am not associated with the organizer or the 
upcoming tour.
