When whites refuse to recognize, and mark the box, of whiteness, we
make it so there are no ways to measure the systemic impact of race.
Please mark the box so that record-keeping can happen and therefore
work can be done to reduced systemic racial systems.

Completely separately---
I must admit I don't see how checking or not checking boxes stops me
from getting the privileges that come with being white, since that
comes from systems and individuals that see me as white no matter how
I identify.
Privileges are not something we "take" they are things handed to us
whether we want them or not.
