Fred, Comments on your blog: 1) you're supposed to set the max charge to 80% to prolong the life of the battery. The slowing down above 80% you observed is expensive and intentional. 2) we average 25 miles/hour on our home Level 2 charger. Level 1 gets only 5 miles/hr. Level 1 would work in communities where short distances are involved the next day. 3) We have six app's for chargers, and you can filter out Tesla, etc. Shell Recharge is new; EVgo - easy to set up a credit card account; ChargePoint came with the car and is also an account; Electrify America (VW) is very convenient; Blink (Ford) we can't seem to work; there is one more (besides PlugShare) somewhat limited to the South - More later, Yours, Joel On Sat, Jul 8, 2023 at 5:38 PM Fred H Olson <fholson [at] cohousing.org> wrote: > On 17 May 2023 I wrote: > > >Car sharing seems like a natural feature for cohousing communities. > >There is an ongoing discuission of how to do car sharing in cohousing. > >The mailing list is at https://groups.google.com/g/coho-carshare > >There are approximately monthly Zoom presentations / discussions (get > >details via the mailing list. > > > >Even better car sharing is a sharing all electric cars (BEV Battery > >electric vehicle), bicycles and rides.
