I concur. Keep discussion here. Long ago we tried to have a mailing
list for "urban" cohousing but it withered away. Making a list viable
usually requires a larger subscriber list of interested people or
high commitment from a group of people, or very high commitment
from a few people to keep posting useful information. Cohousing-L has
1100+ subscribers which has been a big factor in it's being around for
30 years.

As Kevin knows we have had reservations about "retrofit" for a long
time as a term to refer to this alternative form of cohousing and have
not found a suitable alternative. Today I suggest for the subject
line on this topic "evocoho" (contracted from evolutionary cohousing).

A web search for evocoho only got two (unrelated) hits.

A search of the archives:
+subject:retrofit
currently gets 235 hits.

If "evocoho" were adopted as for inclusion to make a "unique subject line"
a post with Subject: Retrofit cohousing -- see evocoho
would tie them together.

I have a little web page about retrofit cohousing that has not been
kept uptodate: http://mn.cohousing.org/retrofit/
Tho for the 2015 National Cohousing Conference we did work on an
updated list of retrofit cohousing communities.
