Sharingwood in Snohomish Washington purchases food in bulk fr UNFI (United
National Foods Inc) and Cosco and then sells at cost to residents. We have a
pantry stocked w basic baking and food stuff, spices, paper goods, etc., a
refrigerator for eggs and dairy, and a freezer for bread and meats. Residents
enter purchases in the pantry book and are charged once a month. Orders fr
individuals are also available from UNFI (they have a minimum purchase amount,
so orders are submitted collectively).
