Hi Everyone,

I am looking for studies and empirical data related to cohousing and other
intentional communities. This particular data has alluded a keyword search
because people sprinkle a mention amidst somewhat random other topics. Do
you remember where to find the relevant authority on….

*Number of Cohousing Homes and Population Density in existing
communities--- *

Where again can I find the data on US community populations per community?
I want to know the average ratio of an the number of homes to number of
adults in existing cohousing communities, as well as the number of
children. I would like to cite the particular survey or study.

*Cohousing Ratio of Homes to Open Land- as an ideal or acceptable number so
that cohousing can call itself a sustainable development model --*

This is mostly about rural communities obviously, and I am not interested
here in actual communities' land and homes. I am looking for an ideal or
an acceptable number here for square feet (or meters) of buildings- to
square meters of open land. I am looking for an authoritative statement in
a publication or study in the cohousing context specifically. The criteria
you can guess at-- so that everyone thrives socially and the community can
still call itself a model of sustainable development.

Have you seen any publication from one of our cohousing professionals, or a
study, with this ratio mentioned? I have combed Chuck's book and Grace
Kim's blogs, among other things, and cannot find it.

*Any help locating empirical data, studies or authority for these 2 ratios
is much appreciated. *

Sincerely,

Pare Gerou
