In sociocratic theory and practice, this is called thinking rationally instead of competitively. It’s problem solving not domination. Both the garden and the chickens have competing needs. What is the best solution for both. But I’m curious why chickens wouldn’t be wanted in the garden. They are wonderful for fertilizing, soil aeration, pest control, and a bunch of other things.
