experience who lives in and has worked on over 50 cohousing neighborhoods.

currently working to create Maryland’s first 55+ Active Adult Cohousing
Community.

Katie is coauthor of the book that introduced cohousing to North America,
Cohousing: A Contemporary Approach to Housing Ourselves (1988) as well the

She has helped to create more than 50 cohousing communities domestically
and internationally.

Katie will share her experiences working with a wide variety of cohousing
neighborhoods over the last 35 years as an architect, developer,
