Subject: [C-L]_ Good/Problematic Community Meals Programs Message-ID: <524C371B-F36D-4F06-A984-7DF3173AA779 [at] gmail.com> Content-Type: text/plain;??? charset=utf-8 Cohousing ABQ in Albuquerque is looking for input from other communities on what has worked well or not worked well when it comes to policies or programs around Community Meals. Lots of factors to consider! We?re working on getting our policies in place prior to construction getting started later this year. Your experience in this area would be greatly appreciated! Pat Bailey Hi Pat, Our Architect, Chuck Durrett, told us he specifically designed our community spaces so that we will be supported in having 3-4 common meals/week. Less than that, Chuck said, results in less connecting and possible dissolution. We have 3 going and I see his point. We have chiefs and sous chiefs and clean up on our sign up channel to make sure meals are covered. Two of the meals are pretty easy - mostly potluck on Weds and Fri. Our community meals on Sunday are a chance for chiefs and sous to shine, and they mostly do remarkably so. Best wishes to you and all Coho ABQ. *Jim Bronson* *www.riversongcohousing.org <http://www.riversongcohousing.org>* Eugene, Oregon on the shores of the Willamette River *I was born at 303 ppm CO2.* On Thu, Jun 13, 2024 at 3:16 AM <cohousing-l-request [at] cohousing.org> wrote: > Send Cohousing-L mailing list submissions to > cohousing-l [at] cohousing.org > > To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit > https://lists.cohousing.org/mailman/listinfo/cohousing-l > or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to > cohousing-l-request [at] cohousing.org > > You can reach the person managing the list at > cohousing-l-owner [at] cohousing.org > > When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific > than "Re: Contents of Cohousing-L digest..." > > > Today's Topics: > > 1.
